Karen Manalastas-Cantos

Short Academic Biography 

• I studied molecular biology and computer science in the University of the Philippines Diliman, before specializing in computational structural biology during my PhD in EMBL Hamburg, where I helped develop tools for modeling protein and nucleic acid structures using a combination of low and high resolution information.

Research Interests & Current Project

• Currently, my interests lie in combining structural and sequence information, possibly through deep learning, to elucidate new biological insights.
